Downpour!

The first rain pours down
Reminiscent of some rains gone by
The drops that once marked the dark clouds
Coming off to open up the clear sky!

The leaves of the green flutter
In tandem with some wind run by
The dried figs that marked the scape
Soaking up to start a new life!

The dry Earth swells up
Overcoming the parch entwined
The dull seam that went unnoticed
Exuding aroma of a new rise!

The infinite sky thunders on
Synonymous to the life bygone
The darkness that consumed the light
Giving way to the silver lining in sight!

The rain washes off; and so does my emotion..

Destiny!

The Earth moves, sky changes color
Trees sway at will, the birds soar
But I stand my ground
For my feet refuse to move.

I breathe, but I don’t feel alive
My heart swells, but does not beat
My head rises, but my eyes sink
For the world plays on the melancholy string.

Hither I walk, sometimes I run
The ground beneath leaves me undone
I want to fly, I want to disappear
For this life and its purpose, so unclear.

The darkest night befalls
For once I don’t want the night to end
Light brings the hope of something new
But it haunts for what is no more in view.

I turn and look back at my last abode
Where I had stayed in quest of an everlasting hope
For once I wanted not to move, but alas
Staying on was my choice, moving on my destiny!

The Earth moved and so did I….
